Things I want my teenager daughter to know.

to my future daughter,
i want you to know that i write this when i'm eighteen years old.
and yes,
i already think of you on my early age.
i want you to know,
no matter how mean i am to you
i do love you so much
and you will always be my girl.

i want you to know,
that i never wanted you to be a princess,
and waiting for a prince or knight in shining armor.
but i want you to be your own hero,
and wait for nobody,
to fight for what you want,
because i know you are able to.
because i know i'll raise a strong,
independent woman.

i want you to know that it's okay to feel broken hearted,
and you can borrow my shoulder to cry on,
and i won't judge you,
neither tell you that you are over-reacting,
because i know how it feels.

but i want you to know that you worth more than days of tears,
i want you to stand up and get better,
because i know my girl deserves someone,
who will look at her and treat her best.

i want you to know,
that you can be whatever you want,
and it is okay to fail.

 i want you to know,
that you are good enough,
and nobody should ever makes you doubt that.

i want you to know,
that i will be though to you,
just because i want you to know
that life is not a fairytale,
and there is no happy ending.

i want you to face the reality.

i want you to work on what you want,
and i want you to learn everytime you fall,
i won't always lend my hand for you
not because i don't love you,
or because i want to leave you,
but i want you to climb your way up,
and i want you to feel proud of yourself.

i want you to know,
that i have loved you before you were here,
and i love you today,
and i will always love you.
